Spider veins
Theme:
Spider veins are ranked and reticulate occurring veins on the skin. Spider veins are also a form of varicose veins. The fine veins lose their elasticity in the course of time and the veins dilate. Then, the reddish or bluish, vascular structures are clearly visible under the skin. Mostly on the upper and lower legs or the insides of the knees occur.
Cause of spider veins
Spider veins are usually harmless and occur at small veins. Sometimes spider veins develop to larger veins varicose veins, which can also cause discomfort. Trigger for spider veins is usually a Bindegewebsschwäche. The blood is pumped through the veins less effectively and leads to deposits in the arteries. If the blood in the smallest veins are jamming then deposited the vessels at the site wide so that they are visible as spider veins.
Connective tissue weakness
The connective tissue of collagen fibres supports, strengthens and connects all organs. Zuhnehmenden age, the fibers reduce the connective tissue becomes weaker and the organs have more room or less efficiently maintained. So, the skin is flaccid and can dilate blood vessels.
Causes of connective tissue weakness
- no exercise or little movement
- Age
- Genetic predisposition
Varicose veins
There may be also a disease of the vein system instead of a Bindegewebsschwäche. Therefore should be examined before an aesthetic surgery by a dermatologist or general practitioner, whether the treatment is possible and useful. Possible vein diseases are:
- Varicose vein disease
- Central venous insufficiency
- Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI)
Remove spider veins
Spider veins can be removed best with sclerotherapy and lasers. A laser is better for finest capillaries, desertification is better suited to the larger veins. The funds injected in a desertification in the vein by inflammation of the vein walls leads to the vascular occlusion and die off. The remains of the vessel are then transported over the body.
An external application in the form of ointments or creams won't usually. Unlike varicose veins, spider veins are not a disease, but only an aesthetic problem.
conclusion:
Operation type (laser) | usually outpatient, multiple sessions can be but necessary |
Operation duration | Depending on the amount of at least 0.5-1 hour |
Ability to work | After 2-3 days |
Risks |

Hi,
