hair growth with Minoxidil

Minoxidil was approved in Germany as a 2% solution in 1986 and a 5% solution in 1993. Minoxidil dilates the blood vessels and thus promotes the supply of blood and nutrients to the hair. Fine blood vessels that are necessary for the hair recede in the event of hair loss due to the condition. With the active ingredient minoxidil, REGAINE can stop hair loss and allow new hair to grow back. Existing hair is strengthened and sometimes thicker and the growth of new hair is stimulated. Daily use can stop the progress of hair loss.

Minoxidil is used as a solution and foam for men and women to treat hair loss or baldness caused by the condition. The solution for men contains 5% minoxidil and the solution for women 2% minoxidil.

Minoxidil effect

According to the distributor Johnson & Johnson of the product Regaine 5% or Rogaine 5% (USA, Canada, Scandinavia), hair loss is stopped in about 75% of cases. Up to 30% have new hair growth through the application. About 10% of users experience no improvement from the application.

Currently Minoxidil is only used for the external treatment against hair loss. In addition, minoxidil is a tablet for high blood pressure.

Hair loss and minoxidil

Hair loss occurs when you lose more than 100 hairs a day. Hair loss occurs in different forms and can have different causes. The most common form of hair loss is hereditary or genetic hair loss (androgenetic alopecia), which affects 75% of men and 25% of women. One active ingredient, on the other hand, has proven to be very efficient against hereditary hair loss: the active ingredient minoxidil.

Optimal effect of minoxidil

  • Dark hair shows better results than light hair
  • Younger users are more successful than older ones
  • Minoxidil is no longer recommended for men over 50
  • The shorter the beginning of hair loss, the better.

Studies on the use of Regaine with minoxidil

The US research team led by Dr. med. Anne Elise A. Olsen conducted studies on 352 male patients over a 16 week period. The new REGAINE MÄNNER foam with 5% minoxidil was tested in comparison to a placebo.

After 4 months, the hair growth of the Minoxidil group resulted in 20.9 hairs per square centimeter. In comparison, the group with the placebo agent had 4.7 hairs per square centimeter.

Experience report for 20 years of Minoxidil

  • Our long-term use of Minoxidil in a team of over 20 years shows the following result:
  • Age 30 to 35: Thickening of hair growth in scalp hair with slight hair loss, especially in the tonsure area, but also on the temples. Use only once in the morning.
  • Age 35 to 45: stopping hair loss. Full hair. Use once or twice a day.
  • Age 45 to 50: Slower hair loss on the temples and in the tonsure area. The effect of minoxidil decreases.

Result: Alternative treatment methods improve the result to full hair again from the age of 45. Using Minoxidil alone, over 45, hardly slows down hair loss.

Minoxidil has been successfully sold for years as a Regaine 5% Minoxidil solution for men and 2% solution for women by the globally operating American pharmaceutical and consumer goods manufacturer Johnson & Johnson with sales of almost $ 100 billion.

The original can be purchased over the counter from many online pharmacies or from the manufacturer on Amazon.

Minoxidil for a beard

Minoxidil can improve patchy beard growth to full beard growth within 6 to 24 months. The 5% minoxidil solution is applied to areas of the skin where the beard has not developed properly.

The problem here is that the application has to be applied permanently, analogous to the scalp hair, and the Minoxidil therapy on the face is quite annoying after a while, because after the treatment, the Minoxidil solution should not be washed off for 4 hours.

Advisor:

As soon as you experience the first slight hair loss or at the latest between the ages of 25 and 30, have an experienced dermatologist examine you for hair loss. The dermatologist can carry out a test in which 20-50 hairs are removed and examined for hair loss. The removed hair will re-form in the area within 6 months. In addition, the doctor can check whether there are other causes of hair loss.

Hair loss review:
About 20–50 hairs are epilated with a rubber-reinforced artery clamp and analyzed microscopically. The differently shaped roots in the different growth phases can be counted. If the proportion of telogen hair is higher than 20%, this indicates an increased hair loss. The non-invasive phototrichogram also provides information about the relationship between growing and resting hair.

If this detects even slight hair loss due to the condition and there are no other reasons for the hair loss, then you can stop hair loss very effectively with Minoxidil and sometimes even compact it again.

With continued daily use, the therapy will be successful for the next 10 years if you don't start over 45 and if no other factors such as illnesses or massive stress cause hair loss.

Thereafter, the treatment can be expanded with further therapy options. More on this in the hair section of our portal. We will provide extensive before and after results from mid-2020.

Hi Alan,

Also ob Du IPL, Lasern, Wachs usw wählst.

3 Sitzungen.

Liebe Grüße
Nikki
