Scars caused by accidents, skin diseases and operations. If there are scars on the face they can cause severe psychological problems. Scars can affect the skin or underlying tissue in their function, E.g. If burns on the skin have taken place or were infections or inflammation (such as smallpox, chickenpox, or strong acne).

Only if the deeper DermIS was injured an initially reddish scar occurs because blood vessels were injured. During the healing process of collagen fibres, the share is increasing and thus the scar is pale again. Scars narrow ways is always inferior fabric, which is not about permanently fixed to rice, but also scars fractures can occur. Scars have many causes and can be treated differently.

Scarsdehiszenz

Can occur if the surgeon under too much tension had sewed up the wound or the patient too early after the operation conducted by sports or physical stress.

Burns

Burns 'sick' skin must usually surgically be removed and replaced with an own skin taken elsewhere. The result is this again a new SCAR, but replacing the skin this is again softer and suppler and straight in the face, the look that can dramatically improve.

Z or W plastic

If there is too much tension on a scar, the surgeon can change this with a Z or W plastic. To run additional cuts and stitched again. Sometimes, this can be beneficial if a scar "extends a".

Cortisone

Nowadays, a treatment with cortisone in the scar tissue is very common. The skin gets thinner as a result and thus also the inflammation is fought.

Laser

The laser method can be used especially for acne scars. Since there are different types of laser, it is necessary to consult a good dermatologist and ask for advice.

FAT or collagen

Scars that are invaded or sunken, a treatment with autologous fat or collagen also can help. Thus, the skin is lifted. The durability however is not of long duration, the medical science only speaks of only a few months.

Camouflage

The camouflage may be recommended for many people. This new kind of makeup's can help especially in scars that are not too deep. This camouflage is waterproof and suitable for covering birthmarks, pigmented lesions or also not too large tattoos. This technique can be performed only after the final healing of the skin.

Expander method

Healthy skin is stretched along the scar using an introduced balloons made of silicone, this balloon is filled with saline. This procedure may take 2-3 months or even longer. The skin must nondestructively as a result so far, that after this time the scar can be cut out and closed again with the extensive skin.

Scars (hypertrophic)

Prominent scar, can be treated with corticosteroids or surgery (local anesthesia) through many months multiple injections over

Contractures

Scars formed by burns. They can be removed and may be covered by a skin graft or a skin flap plastic. Also an an Expander can regenerate the skin over time

Keloids

Scars that spread usually itchy. Administration of corticosteroid to calming and reduction, or complete removal of scars (as an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia). Usually a more frequent treatment will be however necessary, since these Keloids can occur again and again

Z PLASTY

Surgical measure for the improvement of a facial scar. Skin flaps are set up at about a 45 degree angle and thinnest seams. It will achieve a better result, but a highly experienced plastic surgeon is necessary

Transplants or cloth plastic

This from your own body healthy skin are removed and fixed over the diseased skin. This procedure can last for several weeks. The cloth plastic system, healthy skin with the tissue, possibly also with the blood vessels, is removed and transplanted to the sick place. Depending on the size and severity of the injury, the doctor will decide whether he can perform a skin graft or a flap plastic (which often allows a better look)

- Bestimmte Farbstoffe
- Bestimmte Konservierungsmittel
- krebserzeugende Amine
- polyzyklische aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe

Details dazu siehe: Council fo Europe: http://www.coe.int/t/e/social_cohesion/soc-sp/resap_2008_1%20e.pdf
